Rottweiler Full Size

Every puppy develops at a different rate, so your dog may start running around earlier than another dog of the same breed.

However, there comes a time when the breed’s size almost remains constant. This is the point at which the breed has nearly reached its full size.

The Rottweilers reach their maximum height at the age of 12 months, however, their weight may keep changing even after that age.

Rottweilers do not reach full size until they are two years old. Individual Rotties may continue to fill out and gain bulk until they reach the age of three, particularly if they are active dogs gaining muscle mass.

Male Rottweilers appear to grow for longer periods of time, gaining up to 15 or 20 pounds between the ages of a year and two years, whereas female Rottweilers typically gain only about 10 pounds between the ages of a year and two years.

Rottweiler Litter Size

The litter size of the Rottweilers is in the range of 6 to 12 puppies. Sometimes, the maximum litter size that the breed would go up to is about 24 puppies at a time.
